Our History

Being concerned about the quality of life of people in remote areas, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn had graciously directed the Office of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Project which is a government unit of Bureau of the Royal Household to set up “The Occupational Incentive Project as initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn” in 1995 to provide support to the poor people living in remote rural areas to have additional occupation to increase their income from agricultural activities in order to raise their living quality.

The Office with cooperation from related public and private agencies, had set up occupational groups of villagers and helped in training the villagers, supporting operation, equipments, fund and setting up revolving funds for operation. It also helps I marketing the products which are mainly based on local wisdom to preserve such wisdom and to add value to the local raw materials.

After doing it for a while Villagers can produce goods but there is no place to sell them. graciously Let the project buy products from villagers. and sold at the Red Cross Fair which is held annually once a year Therefore, it cannot be a continuous and adequate distribution point for local products.

In the year 2001, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (Which was still holding the rank at that time) His Majesty graciously to set up a store under the Child and Youth Development Fund in the Wilderness (NPD) and bestow the name of the store as "Phufa Shop" to support the distribution of various products of career promotion projects according to His Majesty's initiative It creates a complete production and marketing cycle. From the production of villagers in the wilderness to the process of marketing to urban customers so that those products have proper warehouse management and permanent supply. with a group of executives graciously graciously helping with the work

The first Phufa store opened for business was Siam Discovery Branch, Rama 1 Road. Later, more branches were opened. At present (July 2019) there are Phufa stores both in Bangkok and 19 provincial branches including
